About reality and the welfare of children in South Dakota...
House Bill 1180 addressing crimes against children was introduced last year. What it eventually became with the legislature's refusal to protect children was a watered down, not much of anything. Details of the bill at: www.AmendmentE.com
Obviously Gov. Rounds special session requests demonstrates Four key points.
1. Politics above all else;
2. Legislators were perfectly willing to drop from the bill, crimes committed against children; and so
3. HB 1180 well illustrates, standard issue children have no one worrying about them, while
4. Children of parents with influence, like in the case of the judge's daughter below,
